When it comes to post-production it is my goal to make your project sound the way you want it to. This entails more than just ensuring the overall quality of the sound. I want to help make sound an active member of the cinematic storytelling process. In its simplest form this can be represented by the designing of subjective sound effects or sequences that help to communicate the story or enhance the visual image (see sound design sequences). Going beyond that, sound can and should be used to make the story flow; to help create a single cohesive narrative experience. What this means is different for every project but keeping this in mind will help every project excel. The question is, "What does your project need?"

Working in audio post-production I have performed dialogue editing, sound effects editing, foley, ADR, music editing, and sound design. Depending on the scope of your project I will perform these tasks myself or farm them out to colleagues. In my experience I have developed relationships with other post audio professionals and studios in the bay area and when needed will call on them to make sure your project has everything it needs.

Take a look at my reel page to see examples of my work. If you feel like I can provide your project with what it needs please do not hesitate to contact me so we can speak further.

John's creative talents really shined when it came time to move into post production. We discussed sound design over several meetings and each time he presented me with extensions of my original ideas. I started to see how natural his choices were in creating a believable audible world for the picture. I can honestly say his work really underscored the story and characters and connected some of the otherwise disparate visual elements in ways I hadn't imagined before. His instincts were right on and I have no doubt that he'll be one of the first phone calls I make for my next film.

My first experience with John's audio-post work was for Binary City. When I listened to his first sound mix for the film I literally got chills. I'm excited to work with him for my next project.
